16. Destined to be Together

I woke up with Darren and Denise sitting next to me.

“ Are you ok, Dora?” asked Denise

“ Yeah, I am. Don’t worry. Umm... I need to go to my gymnastic class,” I stood up and left the room without talking or looking at Darren. After school Darren tried to apologize to me but when he came up to me I walked straight passed him. I whistled for Blossom to gallop towards me so I can ride home.

“ Dora, Do you want me to go riding with you?” asked Denise, Belinda and Yuki.

“ No. Belinda, Yuki don’t you have a date with your boyfriends?” I asked

“ Yeah...” Belinda and Yuki replied

“ Then just go and have fun. Don’t let me get in the way of you guys having fun. Ok?”

“ Well...” said Belinda and Yuki

“ She has me. Her twin sister.”

“ Don’t worry guys” I said and jumped on to Blossom before riding off into the wind. I was riding alone for about 15mins, later joined by Denise

“ Denise, what are you doing here?”

“ To accompany you I don’t have anything else to do like Belinda and Yuki so let us have some sister time”

“ I see,” Denise and I rode our horse talking about what sister are meant to talking about. I discussed with her about the situation, I was in with Darren which she already realised it. I guess this is what they mean by having a sixth sense. During that horse ride I felt so much closer with Denise and our relationship as sister became even closer. That night I took a stroll towards the music hall while I was on my night stroll I noticed Darren in the music hall with his guitar. I watched Darren for a while and I realised his was trying to composer a song. With his attitude I knew if he didn’t finish the song he will not  rest or do anything other than composing his song. He had billions of scrunched up papers up next to him. I walked down the stairs towards the kitchen and I stay there for half an hour before going back to my room.

“ Sir Darren, I have been instructed to give you this,” said a maid as she passed him a lunch box. Darren took the lunch box with a note saying:

I made this omelet

so please eat this or

you will lose a 

lot of nutritions.

Once Darren read the note he immediately open the box and eat the food inside. The next day at lunch, Darren was on his desk with his guitar and still composing his song. I saw Elaine walked up to Darren and giving him her lunch box.

“ Darren, I made this for you this morning. Remember I always made you lunch.” Elaine said.

“ I don’t want any” said Darren

“ Come on, have some and lets go to the horse track so you can teach me how to ride a horse, You promised, remember” Elaine said. 

“ Elaine! Please leave me, alone!” said Darren.

“ Oh, ok” said Elaine. She went to her desk, she seem very upset.

“ Hey Darren.” Belinda said.

“ Yes...”

“ I was asked to give you this. Here” Belinda said and left once Darren accepted the box.On the box was another note

I knew you wouldn’t

bringing lunch so I

made you some

spaghetti so eat it

for nutrition, please.

I saw Darren read the note before opening the box and eating the noodles inside. It made me happy knowing that he only ate the food I made. The next few days I would make 3 meals a day for Darren while he tried to composer a song which seems like he was making no progress in it. During lunch I was sitting at the edge of the stage in the music hall. I asked the band to play the song that Darren and I made before a big argument. I randomly made up a couple of lines about how I felt at that moment. My heart felt heavy and depressed, I’m not sure if I should forgive him and get back together with him. As I stopped to think of the next verse I heard a guy’s voice singing behind me. I immediately knew it was Darren and he also sang from the top of his head. We took turns singing a couple of lines that we made from the top of my head. While we were singing I kept walking away from him on the stage while he kept moving towards me. After a minute through the song we paused I looked into his eyes and had mixed emotions towards him. I had to think through this properly and I slowly moved towards the exits of the music hall. I was close to the exits when Darren continued to sing, I stopped to listen to him sing. I walked closer and closer towards Darren as well as I started singing again till the end of the song where we faced each other. As the song end we were looking into each other eyes, we stood there for a while. I slowly slid away but failed as he grabbed onto my hands

“Dora, listen. I know what I did was wrong but please you have to forgive me. Without you feel like I lost my way. You’re my light that guides me through the darkness, if you leave I will be living life in darkness with no path. You are the only girl, I want in my life. So please, please forgive me, I’m really sorry,”  After hearing his apology I really couldn’t stay mad at him anymore so, I jumped up and hugged him. I realised that we are destined to be together, a match made in heaven. If we can make a song together from the top of our head then we can do anything together.
